After a tip from the Federal Criminal Police, drug investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department caught a large fish on Thursday.
A 25-year-old man had stored 6.5 kilos of speed in an apartment in Floridsdorf. The police also found 3,900 euros in cash and some cannabis herb. The Viennese refused to testify and was transferred to a prison, the director said on Sunday.
The starting point of the investigation was an apartment in Döbling, where the 25-year-old lived. The drug dog was already there and therefore a search was ordered. The suspect could not be found in the apartment, but a young woman was throwing narcotics down the bathtub drain.
She indicated that the 25-year-old might be at the Floridsdorf apartment. The investigators found him there and arrested him.
