This Arlberger works on hanging wind turbines

Date:

Wind energy can play an essential role in the fight against climate change. Thomas Beiser from Arlberg also believes in this. At the iENA invention fair in Nuremberg, the inventor presented his exciting idea: let’s hang wind turbines on ropes between mountains!

It all started with a sailing trip. In the sun and a gentle breeze, Thomas Beiser chugged through a natural canal. Suddenly an idea came into the engineer’s head: “You could see exactly how and where the actually weak wind forced itself through the cliffs through the play of waves on the water surface. I looked up and thought: this would be the ideal place for wind turbines!”
