Emergency services found three lifeless children (1, 2, 3) and their lifeless father (37) in an apartment building in Meißen (Saxony) on Sunday evening.
Only an emergency doctor could determine their deaths, the Public Prosecution Service and the police in Dresden announced on Monday.
The investigations are in full swing
Police cordoned off the crime scene and started collecting evidence. At the same time, officials began questioning residents. The 37-year-old dead man is said to be the children’s father. He is said to have recently been living apart from his mother.
Murder suspected
The executive did not comment on the circumstances of the death. However, the police assume that it is a murder and involvement of third parties is ruled out. For tactical reasons, further details are currently being kept secret.
