Post on X – Musk supports British right-wing extremists

Date:

Tech billionaire and Tesla boss Elon Musk continues his public support for right-wing extremists and accusations against elected politicians in Europe in the new year. Musk recently expressed his support for the right-wing populist AfD in Germany.

After recently describing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) as an ‘idiot’ and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as a ‘tyrant’, the adviser to newly-elected US President Donald Trump has now turned the focus back to Britain focused.

On his X account, Musk campaigned for currently jailed British right-wing extremist Tommy Robinson. Among other things, the Tesla boss shared the post of a Robinson supporter named Ezra Levant and commented on it with “Free Tommy” (see post below).

Musk, who has more than 200 million followers

Even Farage distanced himself from Robinson
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is Britain’s best-known right-wing extremist. Even Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage, whose Reform UK party received strong support from Musk, had clearly distanced himself from the 42-year-old in the past, accusing him of being close to violent criminals.

Robinson is currently in prison for spreading false claims about a Syrian refugee, despite a court order. In this context, he had already been ordered to pay damages of 100,000 pounds (approximately 120,000 euros) for defamation. The claims are also repeated in a video made by Robinson, which remains available on his X account, which has more than a million followers.

Musk sharply attacks Prime Minister Starmer
In addition to his support for Robinson, Musk again sharply attacked British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He accused the Labor politician of remaining inactive as the former head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in the fight against criminal gangs of abusers, most of whom were made up of perpetrators with Pakistani roots.

However, Starmer, who led the CPS between 2008 and 2013, said he only got the prosecution of the most high-profile case underway in Rochdale.
