Spring is already meteorological, it is only the time of the calendar in more than two weeks – but Moerslandl is not deterred in Styrie. 20.6 degrees were measured there on Wednesday afternoon. In the coming days there will be a maximum of 22 degrees in Austria.
The temperature of more than 20 degrees, which is unique for Wednesday, was recorded around 3 p.m. by Geosphere Austria in bright sun – and was even mentioned in “ZIB 2”. On Thursday it should also be warm and sunny in Styria, the temperatures around the 20-degree mark still have to stop for the rest of the week.
Also in the rest of Austria, the brand can climb to 22 degrees to more than 20 degrees in some places, because of the hairdryer. In large parts of the country it gets clearly sunny, but from Friday, Sahara fabric could sometimes paint the sky with milky and white. It remains the mildest in the east – even at the start of the coming week.
The winter was too mild and too dry
So much so much are happy with the sun and the warmth after the cloudy months, but it is so doubtful that this winter was too mild and unusually dry. “It was 28 years the driest winter – since the winter of 1996/97 – and one of the ten driest winter in measuring history,” said Alexander Orlik from Geosphere Austria at the end of February.
With regard to precipitation: the low snowfall in the valley and on the mountains. “In the depths of Austria, it has rarely snowed and the fallen snow will soon be melted again. It didn’t snow often on the mountains, but here it was cold enough that the snow could take a long time, “said the climate scientist.
