The number of fatalities has risen to 30 three months after the outbreak of the devastating fires in the Greater Los Angeles area. The discovered death died in the so -called Eaton Fire.
In the suburb of Altadena, the remains of another person who had died in the fires were found, as the local office on Wednesday (local time) announced.
A forensic team investigated the remains and came to the conclusion that they come “from a person”.
Burns raged three weeks
18 people died in the fire of Palisades due to the Eaton -fire, twelve other people. Both fires were eliminated on January 7 and raged three weeks.
150 square kilometers burned
It was the worst fire in the history of the metropolis in South California. Thousands of residents were driven out of their houses and apartments, burned out more than 150 square kilometers.
Destroyed 10,000 houses
More than 10,000 houses and other buildings were destroyed. The rich areas of Pacific Palisades and Malibu and Altadena were mainly affected by the fire disaster.
