In Australia, at least six people drowned over the Easter days as a result of the high waves off the coast.
As the police in the state of New South Wales reported, a fisherman was recently restored to a rocky coastal area in Wattamola Beach near Sydney on Easter Sunday. A 14-year-old man who sat on the boat with him could therefore be revived and is in the hospital in a stable state.
Fischer wandered on the coast
On Holy Saturday another fisherman was thrown into a rocky coastal area in New South Wales. On Good Friday, three people were also drowned in New South Wales.
A woman died near the Melbourne metropolis in the state of Victoria after he had been pulled into the sea through the stream. According to the authorities, a total of three other people were also missing.
Water rescue warnings for waves
The Water Rescue organization SLSA had warned on Maundy on Thursday against life -threatening waves, especially against the coasts of New South Wales and Victoria. A total of 630 people died of beaches without an emergency service in the past ten years.
SLSA boss Adam Weir warned beach visitors in a statement before they visited insurmountable coastal sections with the words: “Stop. Look around. Stay alive.”
