It crashed twice on the state holidays on the Hochschwab Federal Road in the styric Salzataal. In both cases motorcyclists were affected, the accidents took place in exactly the same place.
In the beginning, shortly before noon, a 27-year-old from Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria) lost control of his motorcycle in a bend of the B24 shortly after Rotmoos to Gußwerk. He fell and was thrown over the wheel.
The first crash went out of light
Red Cross Mariazellerland, the helicopter of the emergency doctor Christophorus 15 and a first responder were quickly on site. The 27-year-old had gone slightly at the departure, because after a first investigation it turned out: he had not sustained any serious injuries and was taken to the Mariazell Health Center for further clarification.
The episodes in the second accident were more serious, who occurred less than two hours later in the same bend: two motorcycle controls were collided against each other, a large contingent of emergency services (two ambulances, emergency doctor, Christophorus 15, The Fire Brigades Gußwerk and Mariazell and the police).
Collision ends with severe leg injuries
A 26-year-old Czech had serious injury on the leg and was flown by helicopter to the Amstetten hospital. The second party concerned, a 58-year-old higher Austrian from the Linz country district, remained unharmed.
