Brand alarm on Friday evening in Münster in the Tyroolean Unterland: in the garage of a semi -proof house, a stack of tires had set fire to the previously unknown cause. Because the electricity had failed due to the heat, the emergency services had to open the electric gate with a chainsaw.
Shortly after 9.30 pm the fire broke out in the garage of the semi -detailed house. A neighbor took the scent of fire and immediately warned the owner and the voluntary fire brigade.
First attempts to extinguish a garden hose
“On arrival on the site, residents tried to control all fire with a garden hose,” says De Weir. And only through a small opening. “Because the strong heat had failed the electricity in the garage, the electric gate could no longer be opened. That is why it had to be opened violently with the help of a chainsaw,” the emergency services described further.
Stack of tires on fire
The Münster and Kramsach fire brigades were finally able to control the situation and to put the fire out. “It could turn out that a tire stack had been set on fire because of the reason that was previously unknown,” the police reported. Further investigations are underway.
