“Our information shows that the Iranian government is preparing to rapidly deploy hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles, including those capable of carrying weapons,” said Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to US President Joe Biden. In addition, the Asian country will train Russians to use the aircraft. Such training could begin as early as mid-July.
The United States has returned weapons to Ukraine
According to the United States, it is not clear whether Iran has already delivered the vehicles, which are popularly called drones. The United States recently pledged humanitarian aid and additional arms supplies, such as HIMARS missile launchers and millimeter artillery shells, to Ukraine. Contrary to Russian statements, the eight previously delivered multiple rocket launchers would remain in service. According to the Kremlin, two have already been destroyed. The same applies to delivered M777 howitzers from the US.
Ukraine’s defense ministry says nearly 200 Russian tanks have been destroyed since the start of the war. This information cannot be independently verified.
