The ridge between summer and winter is narrow, just like that between real skills and self -transfer – especially on the mountains! This was felt on Monday a German mountaineering group in the Tyrolean Ötztal. A planned six -day tour ended with total exhaustion for a member after just a few hours. A difficult recovery was the delivery – Snowstorm included!
Van de Bielefelder Hütte in Hochetz, the four-member Tourgroep-three Women aged 38, 41 and 47, as well as a 39-year-old man-broke around 8 o’clock in the morning.
Emergency call for exhaustion
Initially everything went according to plan – but that changed in the late afternoon. “About 200 meters below the Lower, Scharte, in the municipality of Umhausen, made the group an emergency call at 4.27 pm due to a state of exhaustion of the 38-year-old,” the police report.
Bad weather front is moved open
The Umhausen Mountain Rescue was then warned via the control center – moreover, because of the exposed, remote location and the coming bad weather front of the police helicopter Libelle Tyrol, the police helicopter was asked. “But because of the bad weather in the Kühtai this had to stop.”
Since the fastest way to the site is carried out via the construction site of the power plant in the Längental in the Kühtai, the location -related mountain range was finally warned about use. “Various mountain rescues climbed on foot of the construction of the Germans in need and were able to reach around 7.30 pm,” the researchers describe further.
Snow, rain, gray showers, wind
But then the following bad news: the NA -Alert Noodhelicopter also had to cancel the use due to the weather conditions. “Because there was no salvation from the air, the Mountain rescuers with the four people went to the construction site of the Längentale Reservo, where it is a bit cooled, but in the vehicles around 11 p.m.,” the police said.
The use for the Mountain Rescuers was finally over at 0.30 am.
