In the river bed of the Schwechat, countless plastic flowers had to be collected and divested after a marriage proposal. The background: at the end of June an area in the Albrechtsbrücke was festively furnished.
“A very nice idea,” explains Andreas Schweiger, the chairman of the Sports Fishing Association. He continues: “But how can you be so idiot and do it with plastic flowers?”
The decoration ended up in the water and on the bank sections. The red and pink plastic flowers noticed the Petri disciples for the first time last weekend.
Six club members then gathered a total of eight garbage bags full of plastic flowers. They then removed employees from the municipal construction site. “That also has an environmental aspect,” Schweiger explains in the “Krone” conversation.
