Ruard in Rohrbach, a district of Ternitz in the Neunkirchen district (Lower Austria), when about 20 large caravans of a moving people suddenly opened their rooms in a fallow field at the beginning of July.
The Vice mayor Peter Spicker of Ternitzer had to intervene and brought the travelers from there. He kept going to the “Circus Meadow” for Neunkirchen, where they can now stay for a week.
Local inspection on the spot
Who are these people who stop clean caravans with French, but also Italian and Austrian license plates? When it comes to the local inspection of the “Kroon”, one of the “bosses” – not unfriendly, but aloof and in good German: “We come from Paris and go on vacation.” Would there be problems? No, there is no.
The municipality of Ternitz was provided with water and waste containers. Spicker knows something more about these guests. “You go on holiday here and you are on a kind of evangelical church mission,” he explains. And you also pay lease. “We will offer you 400 euros a week, which we will then pass on to the owner of the property.” And the removal of water and waste will also be charged to you: “I have agreed for two weeks and you also informed that you can no longer stop here in the future”.
Can they do that?
How is it possible that strangers are simply on private property? “You can obtain a deportation of lawsuit, but it does not apply because of the lack of delivery agent,” explains Spicker. “Because who do you have to hand them over when they are gone a week later?”
