After Putin’s posts – now rumors about Zelenskyj .’s serious illness

Date:

The war in Ukraine has also been an information war since it broke out in late February. Both Russia and Ukraine disseminate information that is difficult to independently verify, often untrue – with the aim of lowering morale on the other side. Rumors of a serious illness at Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin have been circulating for a long time. Word has now been spread that Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in the intensive care unit of a hospital. The chairman himself responded to this.

“I wish you all good health. Russia today released more fake news that President Zelenskyy is not ruling the state because he is in hospital, or rather in intensive care, because of his serious health condition. So here I am in the office. Me I have never felt as healthy as I do now,” Zelenskyj said in a video message. Several TAVR Media radio stations had previously reported that Selenskyj was seriously ill after a hacker attack. He is in intensive care and government affairs have been temporarily transferred to the head of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The broadcasting group informed the public about the hacker attack shortly afterwards. “Information on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s health status is incorrect,” the statement said. The authors of the false report are not yet known. However, it is suspected that Russian hackers are behind it.

“I am not alone. We are 40 million”
Zelenskyy also had a message to “all those who are spreading this fake news”. “I am not alone. We are 40 million. And with all due respect to the age, but 44 years is not 70. Glory to Ukraine,” the Ukrainian could not resist a jab at Putin, who turns 70 this year.
