The police in Vöcklabruck and Timelkam (Upper Austria) arrested six young people between the ages of 16 and 19 who had been playing mischief in the Vöcklabruck district since May. They are charged with aggravated theft, sexual offenses against children, dangerous threats, illegal possession of weapons, embezzlement, aggravated coercion, bodily harm and offenses under the Narcotics Act. The group traveled regularly, but in different constellations.
The suspects mainly targeted drunken teenagers or young people. They allegedly beat and kicked the victims and threatened them with knives. The suspects then stole cell phones, cash or car keys. Police say a 16-year-old held a gun in front of a 19-year-old during a drug transfer.
Forced into sex videos
A 17-year-old is suspected of contacting a 10-year-old boy via an instant messaging service in early 2020 and obtaining nude photos of her. He would have contacted the now twelve-year-old again at the end of January 2022 and forced her to make porn videos. Out of fear, the girl sent in three videos.
In addition, the younger would have forwarded other child pornography. When evaluating chat histories, it was found that the 17-year-old could also have something to do with fake Covid 19 test certificates.
Police are still looking for other victims. You are requested to contact the Timelkam Police Inspectorate on 059133/4176.
Violations “normal” and “doesn’t matter”
The six boys showed during their interrogation that they had “no sense of guilt”, the police reported. Some of the crimes they were accused of were found to be ‘normal’. Most of the expected consequences are “indifferent”.
