Three measures are essentially responsible for this: booster vaccinations, self-testing and the Covid 19 drug Paxlovid. This has made it possible to greatly reduce the number of deaths from the virus in the US. The president called on Americans to re-vaccinate, self-test and take Paxlovid if they get sick.
