When the management of Altenmarkt arrived, the farm was already on fire. The FF Bierbaum had to be immediately alerted to the water supply. At the same time, a fire pipeline from the Feistritz was set up with two pumps.

Even before the extinguishing work had been carried out, the animals were released into the open air by the owner himself, so that there was no danger to them. During the complex operation, a hay store had to be cleared and compartments flooded with foaming agent.

Fortunately, thanks to the quick action of the family and the large number of emergency services, the flames could be prevented from spreading to the residential building and the stables.
