Now there is sad certainty: The 82-year-old from Innsbruck, who had been missing since the beginning of June, was found dead in the Wipptal. His body had already been mummified, according to the researchers.
Since June 9, there has been no trace of the pensioner from the Innsbruck Hötting district. There was also a fear of an accident. Unfortunately, this assumption turned out to be correct.
Body was on steep terrain
As early as mid-July, “a mummified body was found on steep terrain” in Matreiwald, a district of Matrei am Brenner (Innsbruck-Land district), as the Tyrolean police reported on Tuesday. In the course of extensive research, the identity could now be clarified. “It concerns the 82-year-old missing person,” the investigators continue.
The autopsy ordered found no evidence of possible negligence by third parties.
