On Wednesday morning, a car with four occupants collided with the shock absorber of an underfloor section near Villach.
At eight o’clock in the morning the emergency services received a report of an accident on the Tauernautobahn near Villach. “As soon as we left, we knew no one was trapped in the vehicle,” explains Operations Manager Stephan Pressinger from the main fire station in Villach.
“On site, the car turned out to have collided head-on with the shock absorber of the subfloor section for unknown reasons.”
For the duration of the operation, emergency services had to block the entire lane towards Salzburg. The four occupants of the vehicle were taken to the LKH Villach by the rescue team with unknown injuries.
