The urban and electronic music festival Animal Sound has announced the latest news from its ninth edition, which will be held in Murcia from June 9-11. A very special performance with a Murcian brand has just been added to the lineup, a joint show by DJ Don Fluor, the company Belter Souls, led by Pablo de Torres, and the University of Murcia Choir, also directed by the artist . A total of 60 voices will come together live for the first time on Saturday 11 June in a show featuring a selection of electronic music hits.

This ‘show’ joins the performances of more than 50 national and international artists, including Borgore, SFDK, Fernando Costa, Miss K8, Delaossa, CRO, Chelina Manuhutu, Dubvision, B Jones, David Penn, Fatima Hajji, Gonçalo, Hard GZ, Javi Boss, Luna Ki, MANDY, Shoda Monkas and Yeyo and the Murcians DLPIN, Soge Culebra and Taao. Artists who will be spread across the four stages of La Fica and who will represent the different styles that characterize the festival: techno, EDM, hardstyle, hardcore, Remember and dubstep among others.

On this occasion, the festival will also leave the fairgrounds, where it will gather the public in its two big days on Friday and Saturday, in honor of the day of the Region of Murcia, Thursday, June 9, two parties with free entry with the bracelet of the festival: one in the REM room and another in Distrito 13. The REM room will host Alex Now, Dlpin and Kutxu, while Distrito 13 will feature Everdub.

In addition, this edition also sees the birth of Animal Sound Contest, a ‘skate’ competition within the festival led by Fhire Engorile, which will be held on June 10 and 11. This activity will have a professional jury and 2,000 euros in prizes will be distributed. An event that was born “on the occasion of the designation of ‘skate’ for the first time as an Olympic sport”, Animal Sound director Álvaro Vargas stated this morning during the presentation of the new edition of the festival at the Parraga Center .

A large ‘skate park’ will be set up on the festival site, where athletes from all over Spain will compete and where professional Olympic ‘skaters’ will be exhibited, highlighting the presence of Rafa Bocanegra, ranked first in the Olympic Games and participant in Tokyo . “We want to give Murcia the opportunity to revive this sport in the city,” said Roberto Martínez, ‘Rufus’, ‘skater’ and one of the organizers of the event, “we hope it will be consolidated”, and that he has a small exhibition at the Párraga Center with his partner Pedrito Martínez.

Through a collaboration between the festival and ticketing company NFT My Ticket, tickets generated in NFT format are linked to the ‘Smart Contract’, with lines of code that are automatically executed.
