The B-Side Festival opens its location for its seventeenth edition, which will take place from 9 to 11 September. However, the parallel activities, such as the Pre B-Side or the Tapas B-Side, will take place in their usual locations, namely the Plaza de España and other spaces in the urban center.
On the B-Side, electronic indie pop band Dorian will kick off their ‘Ritual’ tour on Saturday, September 10. There will also be one of the national artists with the most projection in Latin America and with over two million monthly listeners, Carlos Sadness. La Casa Azul’s bubblegum will repeat itself in Molina and the lineup will be joined by the power rock of the thug trio, Sexy Zebras. Chilean Javiera Mena brings a dose of ‘queer electro-pop’. Another attraction of the festival is provided by the special Ciudad Jara cinema. And the early morning from Saturday to Sunday is further enlivened by a special session from Don Fluor.
But the festival program goes beyond the live performances of the main bands, as the B-Side continues to focus on a festival for the whole family, full of parallel activities.
That same Saturday, the B-Side of Tapas takes place in various squares of the city, brightened up with performances by Ada Moon, Bosco, Carlos Dechari, Cutre, El Kamarote, Lüchy Dückes, Martina Efedra, McCroskey, Sedo Dj and a ‘secret show’ . On the other hand, the Baby B-Side will feature a special show from Children of the Island (By Bosco)
Actually, the festival starts a day earlier, on Friday 9 September, with the traditional Pre B-Side in Plaza de España. “It’s a beautiful poster for the usual welcome party, with performances by Ladilla Rusa, Daina Alice and Me & The Reptiles,” said B-Side director and representative of the organizing companies Crash Music and Wild Punk, Toñi Grief. These concerts are free. “80% of the performances are free,” Peña noted during the presentation.
