German Minister Annalena Baerbock is ubiquitous with her “feminist foreign policy”. However, ‘Krone’ columnist Robert Schneider is not a particularly big fan of the Green politician.
I can really work on German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. Rarely have I seen a political personality appear so unnecessarily, unsolicited and uninvited in the media. Whether she rains rose petals on Gandhi’s grave, lights a candle in an Orthodox Ukrainian church, shows up uninvited in Israel and is of course only received by the second political ranks – we just missed the German! – whether she laughs uproariously as an arms dealer for a fighter jet, or whether her government plane cannot fly out of Brazil due to a malfunction.
Baerbock is always there when you absolutely don’t need her and talks nonsense that you are almost ashamed of. After the Hamas massacre, she immediately invited herself to Israel and expressed her deepest condolences. Because the Israeli government has not been able to take sufficient revenge and retaliation and think about a solution for the Palestinian people, it has also babbled in this direction. Something like this: Although she is completely on Israel’s side, and she definitively rejects anti-Semitism anyway, the Palestinian issue must finally be clarified. Of course they don’t protect Hamas in any way…
Go to Ukraine with a chic outfit
If Ms. Baerbock is not in the media for two weeks, she has to go on a business trip. Where? Let’s say Ukraine for a change. There, she and an army of journalists were presented with the impressive backdrop of a bombed-out block of houses for a press conference. The Green politician then stepped over lying iron reinforcements in a chic outfit and ankle boots with stiletto heels.
I just thought she was stupidly rude again and was reminded of another Green Foreign Minister, Joschka Fischer, who in 2003 resolutely opposed the war in Iraq led by Donald Rumsfeld and Colin Powell and a direct confrontation with the NATO partner USA risked.
