With a specially created formula, the third chairman of the National Council, Norbert Hofer (FPÖ), wants to lighten the mood in the country. After the announcement that he would launch a nutritional supplement that caused a lot of commotion, the product is now actually available.
Right on the day that the medicinal plant of the year was announced, Hofer drew attention with his announcement that he would soon appear as an entrepreneur. It was a “remarkable coincidence”, he explained via Twitter at the time, because rose root is also an important part of the formula of his preparation.
Hofer grins from the peloton itself
A look at the website of the online giant Amazon shows that the announcement was not intended as a joke. Hofer’s “Formula Fortuna”, as he calls his combination of active substances, is already listed there (note: the capsules could not be ordered on Friday evening). By the way, you don’t have to worry about accidentally buying another product with a similar name: the portrait of the clearly very happy politician is on the packaging, which is easy to see.
The remedy is said to cost 25.90 euros – a package contains 60 tablets. Taken morning and afternoon, it will last you about a month – at 42 cents per capsule, this isn’t necessarily a cheap pleasure.
Does the promise of happiness pills hold?
But can the active formula composed by Hofer actually achieve the desired effect? In fact, the combination of rhodiola (150 milligrams in “Formula Fortuna”), L-tryptophan (440 milligrams), vitamin B6 (1 milligram), zinc (5 milligrams), and ginseng (45 milligrams) could protect the body from stress Improve mood, support cognitive function, promote sleep and boost the immune system.
Clarify intake with experts
However, the effect of dietary supplements may vary from person to person, so it is advisable to consult a doctor or qualified nutritionist before taking them and to clarify any interactions. The use should be discussed in advance, especially when using other medications.
On the packaging itself, Hofer also points out that the recipe is not suitable for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children and young people. In addition, the ability to participate in road traffic may be impaired.
