After a long search, the Spö Upper Austria found its candidate for the party chairman and the free space in the state government: the successful entrepreneur Martin Winkler (61) officially dared to cover the last week and announced his start. Change in the government on July 3, party congress on September 13
The party congress, which should originally have to take place on 27 September, will be moved two weeks ahead – it will take place on 13 September due to the clashes of the schedule. The choice of the future chairman is then held. There could also be a vote on the program for that. In addition, Winkler will go to the state government in the coming months instead of Michael Lindner. This is also resolved: the change takes place on July 3 when the State Parliament meets the last time before the summer vacation.
“Kaprun Moment” for upper Austria
In a first statement, Winkler called the security of the Energy Future in Upper Austria on Tuesday. With a view to the energy -intensive industry and international location rights, a huge investment offensive -symbolically comparable to the construction of the Kaprun energy plant after the Second World War.
Winkler announced that they will have conversations with Energie AG, energy suppliers from other federal states, developers of private power plants, the top of the state administration, banks and investors in the coming weeks. Winkler practiced sharp criticism of the earlier energy policy in the upper Austria.
