It is no longer necessary to visit in person to, for example, pay a fine or change the address of the vehicle
In the digital age we live in, it is becoming more and more common to be able to carry out transactions electronically. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) already offers you the option to pay fines and change the address of the vehicle via 060, among others.
–
payment of fines: A call to 060 allows you to pay traffic fines. It is necessary to know the date of the notification, the file number and to have a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard or Maestro) for payment. If you pay within the voluntary term (20 calendar days from the day following the notification), the amount will be reduced by 50%. The fine cannot be divided or deferred. You can also contact 060 if you want more information about the fine or if you have problems paying.
–
Change of address of the vehicle: For several months, the DGT has allowed the change of address of the vehicle (fiscal address) via 060. So far, the results of the initiative are very satisfactory. The procedure is carried out with a telephone call, without going to the Provincial Headquarters, without duplication and with the help of an operator. Security and veracity are guaranteed by contrasting questions to prove identity. Once the procedure is completed, a receipt will be sent which will record the management.
–
Change of address of the permit: You can also change the address of the driving license at 060, which is the address where the fines will be sent.
–
Duplicate of the license: In case of loss, damage or theft of the driving license, it is necessary to request a duplicate. This procedure can also be done via the DGT website as well as via the 060. For this procedure, which is more complicated because there is a fee, the administrator does not need to have a digital certificate or to download Model 791 from the website from the DGT and pay the fee (20.40 euros) in advance to the participating financial entities.
–
Request an appointment: For every management in the Provincial Traffic Headquarters it is necessary to request an appointment. Nowadays there are two ways: via the DGT website or by calling 060.
