Deliveries of the Tesla Cybertruck could start in 2023, according to Elon Musk

The Tesla Cybertruck has been a controversial vehicle from the beginning. In the first place because it is a 100% electric pick-up truck that can only be seen in prototype form for the time being. Initially, the brand was supposed to hit the market in 2021, but the date has been postponed indefinitely.

The most recent is the announcement by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who just indicated at a meeting with investors that the company expects to begin delivery of the Cybertruck by the middle of next year.

Musk didn’t explain what Tesla had to do to get the model out, but all the while, the company has had production problems in recent months, including with its Model S, X, 3 and Y. In China, closures are due to the effects of Covid led to a significant decrease in production and in the income statement. And despite everything, the Cybertruck could have collected more than 1.2 million reservations.

The original price, of the cheapest version, would be $39,900 dollars. But they will most likely start with the most expensive options on the vehicle first.

The dimensions are 5.89 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.9 meters high. It has a capacity of six occupants and the cabin, at least from what Tesla gives us to understand with the image it has published, will follow the same minimalistic pattern that we see in the Model 3, for example.

According to the brand itself, it is manufactured with an exterior chassis designed to provide the utmost in durability and protection for passengers. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is engineered for superior strength and strength, from the ultra-tough 30x cold-rolled stainless steel frame cladding to the armored Tesla glass.

The powerful transmission and low center of gravity provide excellent torque and traction control, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and a range of up to 800 km.
