Dangerous scenes took place on Thursday evening in front of a youth center in Vienna-Donaustadt. A group of young people got into an argument with a 45-year-old cyclist. After the altercation, the suspect cycled away, but returned – and this time armed.
The incident happened around 6:50 p.m. The alleged perpetrator returned with a butterfly knife and threatened the group of teenagers. A worker at the center noticed the altercation, ran outside and stood protectively in front of the youths. He also managed to end the argument, the suspect calmed down and left.

The police were alerted anyway and the alleged perpetrator was found a little later during the search in a nearby restaurant. He also had the butterfly knife with him, which was secured. The 45-year-old suspect has been arrested, an alcohol test revealed almost one in a thousand.
