Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was correcting the partial mobilization decree issued two weeks ago. The correction he signed aims to suspend the mobilization of some students – including students enrolled in private universities – and of certain postgraduates.
Since the announcement of the first mobilization in Russia since World War II, numerous Russian men have tried to avoid conscription by fleeing abroad. Kremlin boss Putin has ordered a partial mobilization to bolster the armed forces.
According to the Ministry of Defense, two-thirds of the 300,000 reservists to be called up have now been called up.

After Russia’s partial mobilization, some 200,000 Russians fled to neighboring Kazakhstan alone, and many were drafted despite proven incapacity.
Russian lawyers said they are doing everything they can to advise men trying to evade conscription.
The peace seems to get a little further away every day. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on Tuesday banning all negotiations with Kremlin chief Putin.
