A man armed with a long knife stabbed passersby indiscriminately on the famous Las Vegas Strip on Thursday, killing two people. Six other victims were injured, some seriously. According to media reports, the suspect wanted the photo with a group of showgirls before his attack. Then there was “screaming and a massacre”.
An eyewitness told local TV station KTNV that she was in charge of some of the injured dancers. A club owner said the attacker had pretended to be a cook and wanted to pose with the later victims. But they would have refused. In fact, the police were able to get their hands on a long kitchen knife after the bloody crime.
Three victims in critical condition
The rampage started at the entrance area of Hotel Wynn, after which the perpetrator fled and attacked other passers-by, including tourists and residents, police said. Three of the injured are in critical condition, police said.
According to official information, the perpetrator, who was arrested by the police with the help of security, is not a local resident. He is due to appear in court on Friday.
