At a motorcycle meeting in the Leibnitz district in southern Styria, a bloody argument broke out over the weekend: an uninvited guest (52) was thrown out. He didn’t want to let that happen. He took out a knife in the parking lot and inflicted two stab wounds on a man from Graz (35). Then he fled. He was later persuaded by the victim to turn himself in to the police. The knife man was arrested in Salzburg.
On Sunday around 1 a.m., problems arose in the Rabnitz restaurant with a guest who did not belong to the event, a 52-year-old from the Voitsberg district. According to the police, the man was quickly escorted out by two motorcycle club members.
Stitches in thigh and hand
However, in the parking lot, the 52-year-old turned suddenly, took out a jackknife and attacked one of the bikers, a 31-year-old from Graz. The motorcyclist was able to fend him off with a kick. A second member of the motorcycle club rushed to the rescue and was stabbed in the left thigh and right hand by the 52-year-old with the knife.
Both motorcyclists injured
The two fell to the ground, but the 31-year-old from Graz managed to snatch the knife from the perpetrator’s hand. The perpetrator then fled in the car with his girlfriend. The injured 35-year-old was taken to UKH Graz by the Red Cross. He has now been released into home care. His comrade-in-arms suffered superficial cuts to his hands.

In the context of further investigation and house searches, the 52-year-old was finally arrested on Monday in Bischofshofen (Salzburg). His opponent allegedly persuaded him to give up the phone. The West Styrian has now been taken over by the detectives, interrogated and taken to Graz prison.
His partner is reported for favoritism. A provisional ban on weapons has also been pronounced against the suspect.
