Shortly after midnight, emergency services had to divert to Lannach on the B 76 in Styria: a car had driven over the roundabout at Steinhalle and then rammed into the crash barrier and a street lamp. The driver, a 39-year-old man, was intoxicated.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, a trail of destruction was presented to the police, fire brigade and road maintenance: the heavily intoxicated driver drove his heavy car straight over the roundabout, rammed the guardrail over a length of about 15 meters and a street lamp.
Driver’s license removed
The driver and his passenger were lucky and were able to get out of the vehicle unharmed. The 39-year-old has now lost his driver’s license. Traffic was diverted for about two hours.
