A serious industrial accident occurred on a construction site in the Ausserfern region in Tyrol on Tuesday afternoon. A “shot” was fired while handling a stapler with compressed air.
A 33-year-old was working with a colleague on a construction site in Ehrwald fixing wooden slats to the ceiling for formwork work. And it happened!
The colleague wanted to hand the man a compressed air clamp to fasten the wooden slats. For reasons still unclear, the device’s trigger was activated and the 33-year-old was shot with a six-centimeter clamp in the forearm. The colleague administered first aid and called an ambulance. The injured man had to be flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
