At 11:40 a.m. on Monday, a bull was released into the pasture in Schwendt for the first time in spring by its owner, a 63-year-old Austrian, and when he moved to the neighboring farm, the farmer, with the help of his 63-year-old neighbor wanted to drive him back.

The farmer suffered serious chest and internal injuries. The neighbor was also attacked by the bull and pushed to the ground. He sustained a minor back injury.

Son helped escape
The two men managed to hide behind a tractor shovel, while the bull continued to charge at the two men.
The son of the seriously injured man managed to bring the two men to safety across the threshing floor and set the rescue chain in motion.

Hunter called for help
After first aid, the seriously injured farmer was flown by the crew of the emergency helicopter to the Kufstein hospital and the slightly injured farmer was treated on an outpatient basis.
Because the bull was near a bike path, it was shot at 12:10 a.m. by a hunter with the son’s consent.
