After the “First Aid”, donations are now being collected for the costs of surgery and treatment.
Empathy can save lives, even in animals. This happened on Wednesday in Oberwart. Daniel Kucera (30) was on his way home in his car around midnight when he saw a motionless cat in the middle of the street: “She was injured in a pool of blood and apparently had been hit by a car,” says the owner of a garage.
Quick response
Because the cat was still breathing, he carefully placed it on the sidewalk and asked two passers-by to take care of it while he fetched a box from home for transport and immediately took the injured cat to the practice of licensed veterinarian Christoph. Haller in Market Allhau.
There “Bella” was operated on and treated inpatient. “She had a broken jaw and cheekbone and a concussion,” explains veterinarian Haller, who has been caring for the animals for 30 years. “Bella” is now back in home care with her owners Jessica (23) and Dominik Reichl (25). But since the young parents from Oberwart cannot pay the costs of 700 euros out of their own pockets, they are happy with financial support.
