They have protested nine days of 24 hours a day for the next two weeks, starting tomorrow, Monday.
The workers of Vectalia Txorierri, the concession company of Bizkaibus, will make new strike calls from tomorrow. The company is active on the Bilbao Airport line, among other things, and has been negotiating the new employment contract in recent weeks, with the Basque government as a mediator. During this time, the work stoppage and strike days have been called off, but calls have started again due to the lack of agreement.
For example, the bus drivers of the company Vectalia Txorierri are back on the street. The lack of progress in negotiating the new agreement has led the strike committee to relaunch calls for 24-hour strikes.
The Basque government has mediated in the negotiations between the management and the works council. The former presented a draft, but at the meeting the union majority rejected the proposal and chose to maintain strike calls from Monday.
The president of the works council, Javier Cámara, explained that nine calls have been announced that will take place in two weeks, “because the Basque government has broken off negotiations”.
Only on the trail of concessionaire Vectalia, strikes and strikes continue in Bizkaibus due to lack of agreement. In March, despite the preliminary agreement reached to set wage increases linked to the CPI, negotiations were again blocked.
