The Norwegian company Statkraft continues to process the Itsaraz wind farm that would be located in the municipalities of Aramaio and Eskoriatza.
As of today, the project and its Environmental Impact Report are in the public information phase for interested parties to put forward their considerations, as published in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia (BOB) and will be published in the coming days in the Official Gazette of State (BOE), the Official Gazette of the Historic Territory of Araba (BOTHA) and the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa (BOG).
Statkraft proposes a wind farm with an installed capacity of 60.4 megawatts (MW), consisting of eight wind turbines, that could power some 44,100 households.
Both the prior administrative authorization of this project and the handling of the regular environmental impact assessment procedure are the responsibility of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITE[1]CO) of the Government of Spain.
The project is in an initial development phase and commissioning is scheduled for 2027.
