Fire alarm early Tuesday afternoon on the Brennerautobahn in Tyrol: A truck caught fire for unknown reasons. Several fire brigades were quickly on the scene. Meanwhile, the A13 towards Italy had to be completely closed.
Shortly after Innsbruck, the truck and trailer caught fire near Zenzenhof. The alarmed fire service was quickly on the scene and was able to get the situation under control. Apparently the lack of water was a problem.

As the police explained to the “Krone”, all three lanes in the south had to be blocked. At least one lane was reopened to traffic around 2:30 p.m. Heavy traffic had previously stopped in the Wattens area on the A12 Inntalautobahn.
No one was injured in the fire, according to initial information. The cause of the fire is still unclear at this time. The Innsbruck professional fire brigade, the Patsch, Mutters, Igls and Wilten fire brigades and the Innsbruck airport fire brigade were deployed.
