20-year-old convicted – 32 people stuck in 4.8 square meters!

Date:

They hoped for a better life in Europe – but they barely survived the journey here: 32 illegal immigrants were just rescued from suffocation at the border with Carinthia. Because her driver had stubbornly ignored calls for help from the cramped cargo space of his van for hours.

The fact that tractor transport could be stopped is due to several coincidences. On the one hand, that an attentive Carinthian policeman was off duty that day in February and was about to go home. And on the other hand, that the navigation system of the Czech Fort Transit apparently was overwhelmed by the roads around the Wurzen Pass towards Italy and the car ended up on a dirt road and got stuck in the snow.
