Terrible incident on Wednesday afternoon in Hart im Zillertal (Schwaz district): a 42-year-old resident spun his paraglider and crashed into a stone wall. He was badly injured.
The pilot took off with his paraglider on the Harterberg in the Holdernach district around 5.15 pm. The glider collapsed shortly after takeoff. The man tumbled and lost a lot of height, police said.
The 42-year-old then crashed into a stone wall next to a forest road and remained standing there. He suffered several fractures and was flown by helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck.
