Monday afternoon in Styria there was a head-on collision on the B 76 between a car and a motorcyclist. The 52-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
Just before 3 p.m., a 19-year-old drove his car on the B76 towards Schwanberg. The driver wanted to take his 18-year-old passenger home after they worked together. Shortly after the Steyeregg area, the driver entered the oncoming roadway for unknown reasons and collided head-on with an oncoming motorcyclist.
Died after an accident
The 52-year-old from the Deutschlandsberg district was seriously injured in the collision. The emergency doctor of the rescue helicopter Christophorus 12 was only able to determine the death of the driver.
National road closed
The 19-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger sustained minor bruises and abrasions in the collision. However, both were taken in severe shock by the rescue service to Deutschlandsberg hospital, where they received outpatient treatment. A breathalyzer test from the driver was negative. In the accident area, the B76 was closed until 6.30 pm.
