13-year-old injured – man lurks stepson with knife in front of room door

Date:

After an argument between a 28-year-old and his stepson escalated in Vienna-Margareten on Friday, the 13-year-old was able to flee to his room. The stepfather, in turn, tried to force the door open with a knife. The boy’s mother was unable to defuse the situation, so the police had to intervene.

The argument between the 28-year-old and the boy was probably about the family’s pet cat. During the argument, a brief scuffle ensued, in which the 13-year-old was slightly injured. The stepson then ran into his room and locked the door. The stepfather took a knife from the kitchen and tried to open the door.

The boy’s father called the police
The boy’s mother eventually approached and pushed the suspect away from the door. The 28-year-old then left the apartment, only to return a short time later. There, however, the stepfather was already caught by the police and arrested. Officials had called the 13-year-old’s biological father to the apartment after hearing from several quarters about the argument between the 28-year-old and his son, according to police spokesman Schuster.

Mother attacked police officer
When it later went to the police check, the 37-year-old mother lost her temper and injured an officer with several blows to the face. She may have been dissatisfied with the situation that the police are investigating. Eventually she too was arrested.
