Since Mrs. Aloisa could not attend her sister’s funeral in Styria, the mobile hospice Herzens Wunsch fulfilled her wish: they took the 84-year-old to her sister’s grave. There she could say goodbye.
A year ago, Mrs. Aloisa lost her sister. Since her health did not allow it at the time, she could not come to the funeral. On the anniversary of her death, the Red Cross made it possible for her to visit the grave with the mobile of the Herzens Wunsch hospice.
From Pinzgau we went to Styria, the 84-year-old put flowers on the grave and lit a candle. Together with Red Cross aid workers and a funeral worker, they sang the deceased’s favorite song (“I liked you”). Then it went on to relatives in Carinthia.
The heart desire hospice mobile is an ambulance specially equipped to meet the needs of patients and to fulfill a last wish of people with limited health. The transport costs the patients nothing; the Red Cross finances itself with donations.
