Shock to occupants – Too fast: rammed into fire hydrant and billboard

Excessive speed may have been the cause of a spectacular traffic accident in Rum near Innsbruck on Tuesday evening. A 19-year-old Romanian lost control of his car, causing it to hit a fire hydrant and then a billboard. The driver and his passenger escaped in horror.

The accident happened shortly after 3:30 am on Rumer Siemensstrasse. “Probably due to excessive speed,” the police say, the 19-year-old Romanian lost control of the car. He left the road on a bend – the car then crashed into a fire hydrant and then a billboard, which was torn from its anchorage.

Passengers unharmed, car totaled
The 19-year-old driver and his passenger (27) were extremely lucky in the accident and were unhurt. However, according to the police, the car was a total loss.
