The unions calling for a strike in the public sector are calling on the Basque institutions for a meeting

Date:

It will take place next Monday at the headquarters of the CRL Labor Relations Council of Bilbao. The aim is “to know the position of institutions and political parties” on these issues and “to know whether there are opportunities to reach an agreement.”

The unions ELA, LAB, CCOO, Steilas, Satse and ESK, organizers of the CAV-wide public sector strike on October 25 and December 19, have convened a meeting at the Industrial Relations Council (CRL). Government, EUDEL, the three provincial councils and the representative of the Euskadi government.

The appointment will be next Monday, October 16 at noon, as reported by the majority center, ELA, in a statement. The note emphasizes that all the organizations mentioned are “responsible for the working conditions of the 150,000 workers called up for the two-day strike.”

The unions have also invited the political parties that gained representation in Euskadi in the last general elections to hold meetings.

As they announced, these meetings will call on the institutions that support public services, and on the parties that allow “labor decisions to be taken” from the Congress of Deputies in Euskal Herrian, as indicated in the note.

With these appointments, the unions want to know ‘the position of institutions and political parties’ on these matters, and ‘to know whether there are opportunities to reach an agreement’.
