A young Syrian allegedly bought nude photos of his colleague (33) on Onlyfans (web service) and then sent them to her colleagues – she had a breakdown. He was sentenced on Friday in Graz to a four-month suspended prison sentence – not legally binding.
It all started in the spring of 2022. That’s when the 26-year-old Syrian allegedly discovered his colleague’s Onlyfans account. “He wrote to me,” she tells the judge. However, the 33-year-old did not know at the time who was behind the user account.
What followed were months of trial for the woman. After the man bought nude photos, he demanded his money back, which the Styrian woman did. But soon after, her photos appeared on his account. The intimate recordings were also distributed on porn sites – with the woman’s full real name and phone number.
Psychological terror led to a collapse
Ultimately, all her colleagues, including their managers, received the photos via an unknown WhatsApp number. “Then I collapsed at the company,” the woman says. “I didn’t dare leave the house anymore. I had to change my phone number twice.” The result was six weeks of psychological rehabilitation.
Only after the report was made did the police find out whose IP address the many accounts had been created. The 26-year-old Syrian, a colleague, confessed to the crime to the police.
But in court on Friday, he tells a different story: “Are you pleading guilty?” He thinks about it and shakes his head. “Partially,” says the translator.
Four months probation
The judge and the prosecutor try several times to get the man to confess, but he persists. “I just bought the photos. Where’s the problem?”
The judge does not believe the 26-year-old and sentences him to four months in prison. He must also pay the victim 700 euros and is not allowed to have any contact with him. Not legally binding.
