Custody dispute – House of German millionaire Block searched

Date:

In connection with a custody dispute, prosecutors and police officers searched the home of German entrepreneur Christina Block in Hamburg on Friday morning. According to media reports, there is a European arrest warrant against the millionaire.

A spokeswoman for the Public Prosecution Service announced in Hamburg on Friday that she and several people were being investigated on suspicion of kidnapping minors and other crimes. Therefore, several search warrants were executed.

There has been a bitter custody dispute for years
The spokeswoman said the searches were related to the investigation into the controversial return of two of their four children from Denmark on New Year’s Eve. Christina Block and her ex-husband (49) have been fighting in court for years over custody of the two youngest of their four children. They have been living with their father in Denmark for more than two years, although a court in Hamburg has temporarily transferred the right of residence to their mother.

According to Danish police, unknown persons attacked the father on New Year’s Eve in southern Denmark and took the ten-year-old boy and the 13-year-old girl in two cars. Then they were with their mother. After an urgent request from the father, the Hanze Higher Regional Court issued a provisional order last Friday, according to which the children had to return to their father.

The Block Group, with approximately 2,400 employees, is best known for the steakhouse chain ‘Block House’ and the Hamburg five-star hotel ‘Grand Elysée’. There is, among other things, a steakhouse restaurant on the Naschmarkt in Vienna.
