A 55-year-old Viennese woman had to experience terrifying scenes in the Margareten district on Thursday morning: an 84-year-old suddenly waved a knife in front of the woman and claimed that her car belonged to him.
The woman got into her car around 9:40 a.m. when the senior suddenly appeared in front of her. He claimed that the Viennese woman just got into his car. Out of fear, the woman jumped into her car and locked it.
The 84-year-old stopped in front of the car, pulled out a knife and tapped it on the window. He then gestured around with the weapon, indicating cutting movements in the neck.
The shocked woman alerted the police, who arrested the man. It turned out that the pensioner suffers from a mental illness. He was taken to a psychiatric hospital.
