On Wednesday around 2:20 p.m., an elderly couple in Ried im Traunkreis received an unexpected visitor: three people stood at the door and asked for a cup of coffee. The pensioner then went to the kitchen to make the wish come true. Her husband was in the living room at the time.
Searched all rooms
Meanwhile, the three unknown people – two women and a man – entered the home without permission, searched all the rooms and stole jewelry and cash before leaving.
A search for the fleeing trio has so far been unsuccessful. According to police information, they are suspected of being of Romanian descent. The amount of the loot is still unknown.
