A two-year-old’s desire for adventure came to a happy end on Wednesday in Mondsee. The boy had explored the neighborhood unnoticed by his parents. It was only after two hours that the little boy could be found. Fortunately, he was fine and survived the journey unscathed.
Father and mother were with their four children aged two to thirteen in the garden of their house in Mondsee when the youngest suddenly disappeared around 2:15 p.m. Their search was initially unsuccessful; the parents and eldest daughter did not find the two-year-old in the adjacent gardens. The police were called at 2:51 p.m.
Four police patrols immediately started looking for the little boy. At 3:15 p.m. the parents received good news: their 13-year-old sister and a patrol were finally able to spot the runaway 200 meters from the house. The little one was neither in distress nor injured. He must have enjoyed his adventure. The hugs from the relieved parents and siblings almost never stopped.
