A drug driver was particularly bold on the Tauernautobahn on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old not only ignored police, he talked on the phone while driving and ran away from officers. Then they caught him anyway.
Police were carrying out speed checks on the Tauern Autobahn on Sunday afternoon when they noticed a speeding offender. As they gave chase, the driver ignored numerous stop signs. While driving, the man from Salzburg abruptly changed lanes, overtook on the right and was on the phone.
The officers called for reinforcements and the speeder was eventually caught near Siezenheim and forced to stop. Police also called a doctor, who diagnosed the 24-year-old with drug addiction. The Salzburger was driving his father’s car when he fled. It is displayed.
